I graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in May of 1991. During the time I was obtaining my law degree, I also obtained a Masters of Business Administration in Tax Accounting from the University of New Mexico Robert O. Anderson school of business. While in law school, I also took and passed the Certified Public Accountant's test; however, I am not a practicing CPA at this time.
After graduating, I worked for a couple of the larger law firms in New Mexico for about five years. In January of 1996, I started my own law practice in Roswell as a general practitioner in areas of real estate, corporations, estate planning and bankruptcy. I began focusing more heavily in bankruptcy law after I noticed that bankruptcy clients were always grateful and happy clients at the end of the process. I liked the fact that what I was doing was actually helping people eliminate the stress and burdens that come with financial hardships. By 2006, I had filed over 2,500 bankruptcies for individuals in Southern New Mexico. In the year 2005, my office filed a record 525 bankruptcies. I am a New Mexico native born in Artesia and raised in Roswell. In 2002, I moved my family to Las Cruces and opened the Las Cruces office.

Polly A. Arvizu
Polly has lived in New Mexico most of her life and was raised in Albuquerque. Her background consists of almost 30 years in the legal field as a legal secretary and paralegal. Polly worked for a sole practitioner and a large firm in Albuquerque for over ten years. In January of 1996, Polly helped me open our law practice in Roswell. While she is not a licensed therapist, her empathy and compassion have helped many of our distressed clients over the years. Polly is also who clients primarily deal with while their bankruptcies are in the processing stage.
